The latest study (out today) from Dr Jackie Wright of Flinders University, and her colleagues, shows that meth contamination from use or a lab has the same ill health effects on those exposed to it.
The study states in the conclusion that it has, “demonstrated that these properties have the potential to be a significant public health risk. It is, therefore, important that these properties are properly identified and cleaned up and that procedures are developed to ensure that clean-up occurs. Additionally, properties known to be contaminated but not cleaned up need to be disclosed to future occupants.”
I am not sure what motivation, or information, governments need to get some legislation in place, but surely it is time.
It really is time to get your properties tested and cleaned up.
